Academic researcher in Human-Information Interaction

Understands how people find and engage with information in digital environments, including Web, social media and AI-based. Uses this understanding to inform design and policy. Particularly interested in how people find information serendipitously.  Currently focused on understanding and reducing information harms, e.g. mis/disinformation, polarisation, echo chambers and all forms of 'information manipulation.'
